Gmail Drive
How come i didnt noticed this before ?? If you have a gmail id , you can use it as a space for data storage.
Yes it is absolutely online data storage for personal purpose. You can access this data from anywhere via internet !!!
It looks exactly like our normal drive. Open , create folder, copy, paste , cut , drag drop etc etc are still there.
If you have better bandwidth internet connection, all ok.
Download the executables from http://www.viksoe.dk/code/gmail.htm
After installation, just look at your my computer , you can see a new drive there..That is gmail drive.
Click on that and enter your gmail id and password. You can see a blank page . Here you can create folder and paste your files. Coool na

Isn’t this an external application? I think Google has nothing to do with it…

Yes sony, it is a thirdy party application. Google is not supporting this. But one thing is that, gmail is not supporting exe as attachment , but you can save exe files in gmail drive !!!

Hey…I dont understand. If this is a third party application and google is not supporting it, how can it use google username and password to authenticat. And who is providing the storage space really?
Sajith can you explain me about this process ?

of course it is a third party application . They save the content as an email in gmail account. They use your gmail username and password to login. In short, they uses gmail’s file attachment capability and storage space as a disk drive, and a special subject tag to recognize these contents from normal emails .
